Some of the collection includes:
- Newspapers – Dating back to 1875
- Photographs – Thousands of photos, slides, negatives and film
- Documents – Paper documents and archives of Wayne, businesses, clubs and groups
- Genealogy – Local family history, obituaries and records
- Books – History books as well as booked owned and used by prominent people
- Maps – Surveys and land ownership maps, as well as digital Sanborn maps
- Objects – Thousands of objects from or used by prominent people, businesses or groups in Wayne.
All materials are housed in the Wayne Historical Museum, and are available for research during museum hours or by appointment.
The digitization of materials is a goal of the society, and one day we hope to have the time, ability and volunteers to accomplish this massive task.
